India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has kicked off FY27 on a powerful note. In April 2026, the company reported total dispatches of 5,66,086 units, compared to 3,05,406 units in April 2025 — marking an impressive 85% year-on-year growth.

This remarkable surge was driven by strong performance across internal combustion engine (ICE) models, rapid expansion in the electric vehicle (EV) segment, and steady growth in international markets.

In Strong Domestic Demand Continues

The domestic market also showed solid momentum. According to Vahan data, 5,52,713 units were registered in April 2026, reflecting an 8% increase compared to the same period last year.

  • Motorcycles: 5,01,791 units
  • Scooters: 64,295 units
  • Domestic Dispatches: 5,32,433 units
  • Exports: 33,653 units

These numbers highlight Hero MotoCorp’s continued dominance in the Indian two-wheeler market.

ICE Segment Hits Post-Pandemic High

The ICE segment delivered its highest-ever April dispatch in the post-pandemic era, growing by 83% year-on-year. The growth was well distributed across various product categories.

To strengthen its retail footprint, the company:

  • Expanded its Premia outlet network to 132 locations across India
